The amount of cash recovered came in just under \u20ac1 million\u2014the highest figure since March 2021. The Bondora team also recovered more missed payments for originations than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/cash-recoveries-continue-to-climb\/\">in May<\/a>, thus continuing this upward trend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-571.png\" alt=\"Bondora recovers almost \u20ac1M in debt.\" class=\"wp-image-66185\" \/><figcaption><em>Bondora recovers almost \u20ac1M in debt.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bondora\u2019s recoveries of missed payments totaled 72,080 in June. This is a 1.9% increase from May. All recovery categories were higher, except for Default and Court recoveries, which declined by 0.9% this month. As for originating countries, Bondora recoveries comprised the following countries:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Estonia: 45.4%<\/li><li>Spain: 24.0%<\/li><li>Finland: 30.2%<\/li><li>Slovakia: 0.3%<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-572.png\" alt=\"Recoveries by the count of loans \u2013 June 2021\" class=\"wp-image-66191\" \/><figcaption><em>Recoveries by the count of loans \u2013 June 2021<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-cash-recoveries\">Cash recoveries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The uptick in cash recovered in the month far outpaced the number of missed payments recovered by Bondora. All told, \u20ac969,573 was recovered in June\u2014a substantial 19.2% increase compared to May. The average missed payment recovery came to \u20ac13.45, resulting in a \u20ac1.95 increase from last month. This is the first time <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/bondora-smashes-another-recovery-record\/\">since March this year<\/a> that we\u2019re nearing the \u20ac1 million mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bailiff recoveries performed the best, accounting for 83.7% of all cash recovered and growing by an impressive 23.7% on the month. Default and court recoveries also grew by a stable 7.8%. Recoveries across originating countries were all higher (except for historical missed payments from Slovakia):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Estonia: +6.7%<\/li><li>Spain: +28.3%<\/li><li>Finland: +34.9%<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-573.png\" alt=\"Recoveries by cash flow \u2013 June 2021\" class=\"wp-image-66197\" \/><figcaption><em>Recoveries by cash flow \u2013 June 2021<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-yearly-recovery-rate\">Yearly recovery rate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cumulative recovery rate for 2014-2021 came in at 42.9%, compared to 44.0% last month. This minor drop was led by a continued (and expected) decline of the 2021 return rate, which was down 8.5% to 57.6%. Yet, return rates for 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2018 were all higher in June, a positive sign that points to Bondora\u2019s ability to maintain solid recovery numbers even for missed payments that are from loans originated many years ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-574.png\" alt=\"Recovery rate \u2013 June 2021\" class=\"wp-image-66203\" \/><figcaption><em>Recovery rate \u2013 June 2021<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-recoveries-by-country\">Recoveries by country<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spanish recoveries for 2021 continue to come down, but are still well above their historical rates at 102.6%. The Finnish recovery rate for 2020 rose from 21.7% to 23.3%. As for Estonian recoveries, a notable trend has emerged:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After peaking in 2014 at 80.0%, the Estonian recovery rate fell for the next three years and bottomed at 34.6% in 2018. However, the next four years showed growth in Estonian recoveries, with a current rate of 74.1%\u2014the highest rate since 2014\u2019s historical peak. While these recovery rates will continue to change over the coming months, this trend is an interesting one to note.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/image-575.png\" alt=\"Recovery rate by country \u2013 June 2021\" class=\"wp-image-66209\" \/><figcaption><em>Recovery rate by country \u2013 June 2021<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-working-hard-on-recoveries\">Working hard on recoveries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A 1.9% monthly increase in recoveries isn\u2019t huge, but it\u2019s also a positive sign of the continued dedication of the Bondora team to recover missed origination payments.
