Originations skyrocketed during the month, with Spain leading the charge and pushing Bondora originations to new all-time high levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Spanish Originations on the Move<strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Total originations\nboomed during the month of July, rising 61.2% to a record-breaking total of\n\u20ac15,418,245. It was originations out of Spain that completely broke new ground\nover the month, jumping from 11% of total originations to 27% in July. Spanish\nloan originations totalled \u20ac4,163,390 over the month, a massive 286% increase.\nEstonian and Finnish origination totals also increased compared to last month\n(EUR), by 21.2% and 43.8% respectively.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Origination-by-country-July-2019.png\" alt=\"Origination by country - July 2019\" class=\"wp-image-24394\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The biggest increase in\noriginations was seen in Spanish F rated loans, which accounted for \u20ac2,511,750\nin originations in July, or 16.3% of all Bondora originations. Higher Spanish\noriginations coincided with lower originations out of Finland. F rated loans\nfrom Finland accounted for only 10.8% of all originations in July, compared to\n34.1% of originations in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Share-by-rating-country-amount-July-2019.png\" alt=\"Share by rating country amount - July 2019\" class=\"wp-image-24397\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Average Loan Amount<strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even as Spanish originations grew, the average loan amount remained relatively stable. The average Spanish loan origination came to \u20ac1,972 in July, an increase of only 2.8%. Therefore, the increase in Spanish originations came from more borrowers in total, with 2,102 Spanish borrowers originating loans in July, compared to 562 borrowers in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finnish originations had\nthe largest increase, up by 5.7% to \u20ac4,622, while originations out of Estonia\nwere relatively unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Avg-loan-amount-July-2019.png\" alt=\"Avg loan amount - July 2019\" class=\"wp-image-24400\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Loan Durations<strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finnish loan durations\ndropped to an average of 51 months, below the 56 month average in June. The\naverage Spanish loan duration grew to 52 months, its highest average in the\npast three months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Average-loan-duration-July-2019.png\" alt=\"Average loan duration - July 2019\" class=\"wp-image-24403\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Changes in borrower incomes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Borrowers across all three countries had lower average incomes than in June. Finnish borrowers average income decreased to \u20ac2,599 in July. With Spanish borrowers, the average income came in at \u20ac1,555. Monthly incomes in Estonia remained the lowest of all three countries, with borrowers averaging \u20ac1,262 per month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Avg-net-income-July-2019.png\" alt=\"Avg net income - July 2019\" class=\"wp-image-24406\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Education<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trends in borrower\neducation level remained relatively similar to previous months. The majority of\nEstonian and Spanish borrowers have a high school education, while Finnish\nborrowers trend toward having a vocational school education.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Education-July-2019.png\" alt=\"Education - July 2019\" class=\"wp-image-24409\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Employment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There was an increase in\nthe rate of Bondora borrowers employed for longer durations. In July, 40.4% of\nborrowers were employed for more than 5 years, compared to 39.1% a year prior.\nAnother 27.7% of borrowers were employed up to 5 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Employment-duration-July-2019.png\" alt=\"Employment duration - July 2019\" class=\"wp-image-24412\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Home Ownership Status<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There was no statistically significant change of home ownership status for borrowers out of Finland. More Spanish borrowers (26.5%) are living with their parents, while slightly more Estonian borrowers (44.8%) are homeowners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Home-ownership-July-2019.png\" alt=\"Home ownershit status - July 2019\" class=\"wp-image-24415\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Verification Status<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even with a large influx\nof Spanish borrowers over the month, the vast majority of them were verified by\nBondora. 99.3% of Spanish borrowers were verified on the month, up from 95.6%\nin June.
