They found that people didn\u2019t seem to understand the components (i.e., that you don\u2019t have to purchase a whole coin) and most were looking for ways to make a lot of money very quickly.  <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/us-britain-cryptoassets-regulator\/uk-watchdog-warns-against-get-rich-quick-cryptoasset-purchases-idUSKCN1QO13F\" target=\"_blank\">Reuter\u2019s reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/FCA-Cryptocurrency.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22262\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>The FCA and other regulators across the world have told consumers they could lose all their money in crypto assets after huge falls in the value of Bitcoin.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>But the FCA said the overall scale of harm may not be as high as previously thought, a finding that should stall the introduction of draconian new rules for now.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>The UK government wants to encourage innovation in finance, particularly the blockchain technology that underpins crypto assets.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">That being said, they also found that most consumers in the UK are oblivious to cryptocurrencies and don\u2019t buy or use them. But as crypto assets aren\u2019t under the umbrella or regulation in Britain, consumers aren\u2019t protected if things go south\u2014thus, the FCA warns, they should avoid buying them for \u201cget rich quick\u201d motives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\">* * *<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">Do millennials buy travel insurance? According to research cited by London-based travel insurance startup Pluto (and reported by TechCrunch), 40 percent of millennials don\u2019t bother. Officially launching on Tuesday, Pluto Insurance is trying to allow you to tailor your insurance to meet your needs. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2019\/03\/12\/pluto\/\" target=\"_blank\">TechCrunch reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Do-millennials-buy-travel-insurance-1024x683.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22265\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>\u201cWe\u2019ve spoken to hundreds of millennials, and three things keep coming up,\u201d says Pluto co-founder and CEO Alex Rainey. \u201cTravel insurance is too complicated, and it\u2019s hard to know what you\u2019re actually buying. Secondly, a lot of younger people don\u2019t think they need it. But most importantly, there is a distinct lack of trust towards insurers, and it\u2019s easy to see why. With exclusions buried in the fine print and insurers expecting people to print out a claim form and post it in.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">This new challenger to the travel insurance market is backed by Zurich (a global insurance group with 99% claims payout rate in 2017), a partnership which Pluto CEO believes will help to solve many trust issues with insurance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"> * * *<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">After facing the last few weeks under pressure for allegedly switching off anti-money laundering systems, challenger bank startup Revolut\u2019s CFO has resigned. The Telegraph reported that this anti-money laundering system, which alerts of suspect transactions, was switched off from July to September of 2018. Revolut denies all allegations. Revolut has been facing some tough criticism lately, as a <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.co.uk\/article\/revolut-trade-unions-labour-fintech-politics-storonsky\" target=\"_blank\">recent article from Wired<\/a> reported on allegations of a terrible workplace culture. Revolut CEO Nik Storonsky noted that CFO Peter O\u2019Higgins\u2019 resignation has nothing to do with the recent rumors, which he denies. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2019\/03\/01\/revolut-cfo-peter-ohiggins-resigns\/\" target=\"_blank\">TechCrunch reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Bank-startup-Revolut-1024x683.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22268\" \/><figcaption><em>Source: TechCrunch<\/em> <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Storonsky also responded to the Telegraph story with a blog post that denies any wrongdoing. He claimed Revolut suspended the use of \u201ca more advanced sanctions screening system\u201d and instead reverted to a previous one.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"> * * * <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\">According to a recent article from Wired, major banks are starting to play around with the technology of quantum computers, as they predict that to be the future of the financial\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/the-fintech-revolution-what-is-it-and-why-should-you-care\/\">fintech industry<\/a>. They believe that these extremely fast computers could help them make better at calculating risk, which could avoid and similar events to the 2008 financial crash. <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wired.co.uk\/article\/ibm-barclays-banking-quantum-computing\" target=\"_blank\">Wired reports:<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.goandgrow.eu\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/Technology-of-quantum-computers.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22271\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-text-align-left is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>For financial firms, quantum computing is a hugely attractive concept. Back during the financial crisis of 2007-2008, poor risk assessment was a key troublemaker. Calculating risk \u2013 and understanding how different kinds of risk are related to each other \u2013 is an extremely complex job. But banks and hedge funds think that quantum computing might help them reduce the risk lurking in their investment portfolios.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote has-text-align-left is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Another big issue is the need to settle thousands of trades \u2013 matching up buyers and sellers with prices both sides agree on \u2013 at millisecond speed and high volume.
